1IS RAFTING OR ANY OF THE OFFERED ACTIVITIES DANGEROUS?
No, the activities are rather exciting, because they are quite unknown or rare. If you keep the rules, then they are not more dangerous than biking.
2WHAT HAPPENS IF MY BOAT CAPSIZES OR I FALL OUT OF IT?
You get wet :) Try to catch the rope on the side of the boat, and try to pull yourself toward it (turn upside down, then climb into it). If others remained in the boat pass the ‘T-end’ of your paddle to them then they can help you. If it is does not work either, assume the whitewater swim position (face downstream with your feet out in front of you, legs should be slightly bent and swimmer’s nose and toes should be above the water). Swim position should be maintained until swimmer is rescued or until swimmer has the opportunity to get back to the raft or to get to shore.

4DO I NEED TO HAVE SWIMMING SKILLS?
Not by all means, it is more important not to have dread of water.
5DO I HAVE TO WEAR ANYTHING UNDERNEATH NEOPRENE CLOTHES?
It is more comfortable to wear swimsuit, or underwear maybe socks, T-shirt.
6IS THE WATER COLD?
No it is not in neoprene clothes, otherwise it is 10-14 degrees…
7WHAT OTHER POSSIBILITIES DO I HAVE BESIDES RAFTING?
Sunbathing, hiking, having good meals, biking, canyoning, archering, hydrospeed, tandem paragliding, partying…
-Be prepared for weather changes -Useful things: insect repellent, torch, knife, sun lotion, pain-killer, credit card, sunglasses with stripe, mobile phone, swimsuit, and spare glasses if needed -Use socks or T-shirts under the neoprene it is more comfortable and more hygienic -Better to stay for at least 4 days – there are many beautiful places to visit, lots of activities and relaxation possibilities. -If you have any doubts about your equipments, do not hesitate to contact our guides! -Before going out in the evenings please make sure that you have space for everyone in your car -Please turn on the light on your car regardless of the part of the day -Use of seat belts is obligatory
9HOW ARE THE DIFFERENT SECTIONS ON THE RIVER CLASSIFIED?
With the so-called International Scale of River Difficulty. Tourist trips can be organized up to the IV+ level.
10INTERNATIONAL SCALE OF RIVER DIFFICULTY.
WW I: easy, constant current and waves, easy, open curves, easily avoidable obstacles, visible routes. very small rough areas, might require slight maneuvering :) WW II: medium, changing current and waving, small whirlpools and obstacles in the river, small stairs, but still visible routes. some rough water, maybe some rocks, might require some maneuvering. WW III: difficult, high, unsystematic waving, big obstacles in the river, stairs, small obstructions, branches, the routes are sometimes barely visible. maybe a small drop, but no considerable danger. may require significant maneuvering. WWIV: very difficult, high, unsystematic waving, big obstacles in the river, stairs, obstructions, branches, bushes, the routes at some places are not visible, exploration from the riverbank is needed. rocks, maybe a considerable drop, sharp maneuvers may be needed. WW V: exceptionally difficult, extreme descending of the river-bed, stairs, narrow passage- ways, obstrucles, exploration from the riverbank is inevitable. Mistakes can cause serious or fatal consequences. possibility of large rocks and hazards, possibility of a large drop, requires precise maneuvering. WW VI: extreme level. Usually unrunnable, thorough planning and training required even from the most experienced ones. Rafters can expect to encounter substantial whitewater, huge waves, huge rocks and hazards, and/or substantial drops that will impart severe impacts beyond the structural capacities and impact ratings of almost all rafting equipment
11HOW MANY SECTIONS CAN BE PADDLED?
There is a variety of different sections on Isel river from I – IV, we have 4 saections to paddle and the water level can makes big chanches to.
12WHAT BOAT SHOULD I CHOOSE FIRST?
It depends on different things, but you can choose even the canoe for 2 people on our easy trips, it is also easy. However, sometimes the bigger raft boats (for 6-10 people) are perfect for the beginners and the canoes are preferred by the more advanced people.
13DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO PADDLE?
No, you will learn the basic techniques from us. However, if you have ever paddled; it is undoubtedly an advantage.
1IN WHAT CURRENCY CAN I PAY? ARE CREDIT CARDS WIDELY ACCEPTED?
In euro, and they accept several credit cards.
2IS THERE ANY GAS STATION CLOSE TO THE ACCOMMODIATION?
There are a lot until 8pm.
3DO YOU CARRY FIRST AID EQUIPMENTS?
Yes, all the tour guides are provided with one, and there are bigger ones in the bigger rafts.
4WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Extra socks, sweatsuit, towel, spare glasses or contact lenses if needed, camera, credit card, insurance, insect repellent, flashlight, knife, suntan lotion, painkiller, sunglasses, telephone, swimsuit.
5CAN I TAKE PHOTOS/VIDEOS?
We can carry small cameras in the boat, but do not take the responsibility for them. If you have water-resistant camera, you can bring it. We also take pictures, and a professional photographer comes with us.
6WHICH RESTAURANTS DO YOU OFFER?
Almost every restaurant has a good cuisine, but we have favorites…. -Moar im walde in St Johann im W. 200m from us o Landgasthof Bad Weiherburg, to Lienz 2km from us left hend side. -Best grill chiken in Lienz , from us go to the frirst kres road ( round), after ont he right hand side. -Best grilled fish is in our base
7WHERE ARE PLACES FOR PARTYING?
Lienz has a lot, just go to the old town amd also in Matrei, having the summer every weekends we have festivals.
8ARE THE POLICEMEN STRICT?
Yes. Don’t drive drunk (2 beers is allowed), turn on the light, seat belts on, these are the most important things…
9CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Yes, but you have to take care of it, it is not allowed to sit in boats and we cannot take care of it.
10WHAT IS THE MINIMUM LIMIT OF THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS?
1 person, as we spend our summer there.
